Monrai is a privately-held company founded in October, 2000 to develop and deploy software that harnesses advanced artificial intelligence to meet the growing demands on computer systems and devices. We set our initial focus on the area of natural language processing. We demonstrated with early prototypes, the feasibility of accurately extracting linguistic structural data from unstructured text, without relying on statistics-based training methods, which parse text superficially, and are most effective only where the domain is narrow and substantial training data exists. We have since pioneered several breakthroughs in the areas of computational linguistics and natural language processing, currently helping applications understand human language with human-level efficiency.
