Solutions
Monrai develops customized solutions that address the critical requirements of both commercial organizations and government agencies through the ability to process continuous streams of unstructured data to uncover and speed response to important events that might otherwise go undetected and unresolved. We build on the Monrai Event Processing Architecture (MEPA) for rapid development and deployment of applications.
The MEPA is divided into six tiers:
While the potential for the broad application of its technology is enormous, Monrai has chosen to focus on business and governmental needs through applications that can deliver maximum value to the customer. The Monrai Event Processing Architecture
The Monrai Event Processing Architecture is a set of coordinated technologies and conventions that enable solutions for capturing, monitoring, and processing events which propagate from such systems as RFID networks and free-form text parsers. Building on our Cypher and transcography platforms, Monrai delivers a complete, stable, secure, and fast platform for event processing and management. The MEPA is divided into six tiers:
- Sensory Layer - events are propagated from sources outside the Monrai framework. In the case of RFID, this layer consists of the physical device layers (RFID Readers/Antenas, Printers, etc). In the case of text analysis, this layer consist of built-in and third-party text analysis engines.
- Process and Abstraction Layer - The Process Layer provides a business process development environment for defining business processes that require event pattern data and real-time integration into existing systems through data mapping, formatting and business rule execution. This component enables the discovery of numerous types of service interactions for automatic invocation during runtime, which include: interaction with web services, databases and multiple types of messaging services; as well as the integration and transformation of XML within this layer.
- Messaging and Services Layer - this layer includes components of the architecture layers which may be installed and configured to collect event patterns at user-defined tracking points so that it may be reformatted and sent to people, applications, devices or logs. The subscriptions, alerts, and graphical dashboard capabilities facilitate dynamic monitoring of active event patterns as they occur.
- Integration Layer - consists of prepackaged adapters designed to work with specific off-theshelf applications and standards. These adapters jump-start integration efforts by reducing valuable development time and providing reliable, documented, and configurable connections between applications by enabling them to work with the Process and Abstraction Layer.
- Business Intelligence Layer - this component is used to store historical event pattern data in the Monrai analytical engine, which is designed from the ground up for great complex query and reporting performance for analytical requirements
- Application Layer - and finally, the application layer consist of the applications which build on the Monrai Event Processing Architecture to enable new event-based functionality to end users and other applications and services
